About GAYON
Guidance Assistance for the Youth Online - Bridging the gap between students and mental health support across educational institutions.
Our Mission
To provide accessible, secure, and comprehensive guidance counseling services to students across educational institutions in the Philippines, ensuring that every student has access to mental health support regardless of their school's resources.
We believe that mental health support should be available to all students, and our platform breaks down institutional barriers to make this vision a reality.
Our Vision
A future where every Filipino student has immediate access to qualified guidance counselors and mental health resources, fostering a generation of emotionally resilient and academically successful individuals.
Through technology and collaboration, we envision a connected network of support that transcends geographical and institutional boundaries.
The Story Behind GAYON
GAYON was conceived by Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr., CESO III, Regional Director of CHED Region V, in response to the growing mental health needs of students across the Philippines. Recognizing that many educational institutions lack adequate guidance counseling resources, Dr. Anduyan envisioned this groundbreaking digital transformation project to bridge the gap in student support services.
The platform addresses a critical gap in student support services by enabling cross-institutional collaboration. Students can now access qualified guidance counselors from other schools, ensuring they receive the specialized help they need, when they need it.
Developed with security, accessibility, and student privacy at its core, GAYON represents a new era of educational support that leverages technology to create meaningful connections between students and mental health professionals.
